What coach day trips run from Newcastle?
Coach2DayTrips runs day trips from Newcastle city centre to destinations across Britain, including Edinburgh, Beamish, York, Scarborough, Blackpool, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Hexham, Leeds, the Trafford Centre and Caledonia Park at Gretna. The Newcastle pickup is the Bewick Street bus stop, and the coach brings you back to the same stop the same evening.
Which areas of Northumberland have coach pickups?
Our Northumberland pickups are Morpeth Bus Station, Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth (Bebside) and Cramlington, plus Whitley Bay on the coast. Every departure is a same-day return to the same stop, and your confirmation email shows the exact pickup time for your trip.
Can I do Edinburgh in a day by coach from the North East?
Yes. Edinburgh is close enough for a same-day return from Newcastle and Northumberland, and our Edinburgh departures include the Edinburgh Christmas Markets, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Edinburgh Zoo. You join at your local stop in the morning and are home the same evening.
Can I visit Beamish in a day by coach?
Yes. We run a daytime trip to Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, and separate seasonal Beamish Christmas Day Time and Beamish Christmas Evenings departures, each with its own dates. All three are same-day returns from Newcastle and Northumberland pickups.
Can I get to Alnwick by coach for the day?
Yes. Our Alnwick departures are paired with Heighley Gate Garden Centre near Morpeth, so the day covers the garden centre and then Alnwick itself. It is a same-day return from our listed Newcastle and Northumberland pickup areas.
Are your coach trips same-day returns?
Every Coach2DayTrips departure is a day trip: out and back on the same day, with no hotel and no overnight stay. You board at your local pickup point in the morning and the coach returns you to that same stop the same evening.
How does booking a coach day trip work?
Choose your trip, then the departure date and your pickup point, and pay by encrypted card payment online — your confirmation email follows straight away and shows your exact pickup time. Seats are reserved in your name, and cancellation insurance is available at £3 per person if you want the extra cover. You can also book by phone on 01670 333 000 or 0191 232 3333, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
Where are your coach pickup points?
We pick up at Morpeth Bus Station, Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth (Bebside), Cramlington, Whitley Bay, Newcastle (Bewick Street), Washington Services and Roadchef Durham on the A1. Each pickup point has a typical departure time, and your confirmation email always shows the exact time for your own trip.
