Why Christmas trips work best by coach

Christmas markets mean crowds, city-centre road closures and expensive parking, usually in the dark and often in the rain. On a coach trip you are dropped close to the market, you can carry bags back to a reserved seat rather than to a distant car park, and nobody in the group has to stay off the mulled wine to drive.

Our festive departures typically include Edinburgh Christmas Markets, and Beamish at Christmas as both a daytime trip and a lit-up evening trip. Each has its own set of dates rather than running every week, so the list below shows exactly what is currently on sale.

Booking festive dates

Christmas dates are the first to fill, particularly weekend evenings. Book online with encrypted card payment, or call the office on 01670 333 000 or 0191 232 3333. Seats are reserved to your name and cancellation insurance is available at £3 per person. Gift vouchers are also available if you would rather give the trip than book it.
