Outlet villages are built for cars, which makes them awkward and expensive to get to any other way. Caledonia Park at Gretna is our regular outlet destination: brand outlets in an open-air village with cafés on site, just over the border. The same departure can take you into Carlisle instead if you would rather have a high street, a castle and a covered market.
Christmas and sales shopping
Shopping trips peak twice a year — the run-up to Christmas and the January sales — and the Christmas market departures double as shopping days if you are looking for gifts rather than groceries. Whatever is currently on sale is shown below with its dates and price per person.
Practicalities
There is no bag limit beyond what fits in the hold, and the coach returns to the same local pickup point the same evening. Book online with encrypted card payment or call 01670 333 000; cancellation insurance is available at £3 per person.
